Payton & Charlie’s Summer Wedding at Eagle Brook Country Club
For their gorgeous Summer wedding at the Eagle Brook Country Club, only a few things were important for Charlie and Payton. The most important however, being that they really wanted to experience their day to the fullest. By that, they didn’t want to be distracted with all of the hooplah that comes along with the wedding day and instead just focus on having fun and living in the moment. They didn’t want their wedding day to be guided by posed portraits, so knowing that made my job 10x more fun.
In order for you to get candid moments throughout your wedding day it’s important to remember to be fully present. Don’t sweat the small stuff and minimize as much stress as possible. Both Charlie and Payton were so full of life that really, it makes by job as a Chicago Wedding Photographer that much more fun and easy.
In this case, Charlie and Payton’s wedding day consisted of drizzling rain pretty much the whole day. However, that didn’t stop them from embracing every good moment about their day. Stressing about things, especially things out of your control, will only hurt you in the end!
So much of their wedding day was filled with intentionality. After the ceremony, Charlie and Payton set aside time for everyone to go back to one of their houses and just relax. They had food, drinks and even beer pong set up like it was just another day in their lives. Rather than capturing a formal setting, we focused on just everyone enjoying themselves and the rest came naturally. A day that was perfectly imperfect and I loved every single minute of it.
