Sam + Rick’s Fall Chicago Wedding at Fairlie
Ever since meeting Sam and Rick, one thing was clear. These two did not want their wedding day to be your run-of-the-mill, traditional wedding. While there is nothing wrong with that, for Sam and Rick they wanted to make sure to incorporate a lot of their personalities as well as keep their Chicago wedding photos as candid and authentic as possible. As mentioned above, Fairlie Chicago gives couples a blank canvas to do whatever their heart desires. Sam and Rick wanted to focus on florals, so thanks to the help of Stemming From Love, their ceremony and reception space was decked to the nines. Every moment, from their wedding details and Scrabble board to hand-written notes and a celebratory cake flip to start the night was 100% Sam and Rick.
The pop of olive green in their color scheme paired perfectly with some of the greenery on the exterior of the Fairlie. An intentional addition that made all the difference, especially when it came time to take their Chicago wedding photos. Towards the end of the night, it was evident that these wedding guests knew how to PAR-TAY. An open dance floor is always dangerous, but especially when you have guests who know exactly what they’re doing. I stole Sam and Rick for a few moments during their reception to take a few night shots with flash before heading back for their grand exit. A chariot covered in greenery waited for them as they were whisked away as Mr. and Mrs. Now that’s going out with a bang!
