Sometimes you are given opportunities to pursue someone you’re interested in. You see them on social media, they catch your eye, and you go for it. For others, it’s almost as if fate brought them closer and closer together. They were meant to be. For Amanda and Ryan, they met through a mutual friend but through a long series of coincidental moments, their relationship grew into something more.
Today we are telling the story of Amanda and Ryan, two people who met and fell in love in the most beautiful way. Their Garfield Park Conservatory Wedding in Chicago was one I could never forget and hopefully, by looking through these photos, you’ll know why.
Amanda & Ryan: A Chicago Love Story
As I mentioned before, Amanda and Ryan met through a mutual friend. Through a series of events and small coincidences, it is almost as if fate was plopping them in front of each other almost “too conveniently”. Their relationship is wholesome and built on the foundation of understanding and love, which was truly evident ever since the moment I first spoke to Amanda and Ryan. The love that these two have for each other really is incredible, so hopping on the opportunity to document it was a no-brainer.
Garfield Park Conservatory – Greenhouse Chicago Wedding Venue
Amanda and Ryan’s original plan was to have a courthouse wedding. However, with a change of plans, it actually turned out to be so much better. Amanda and Ryan had their wedding at the Garfield Park Conservatory here in Chicago. The Garfield Park Conservatory is a very popular Chicago wedding venue. The star attraction of this wedding venue is that it basically is like a giant greenhouse. The Garfield Park Conservatory is one of the largest botanical conservatories in the nation. Around you are thousands of plant species from around the world and 10 acres of outdoor gardens. It’s your own private oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is why so many couples choose to get married here.
Garfield Park Conservatory Wedding in Chicago
It was important for Amanda and Ryan to feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. They wanted their love to reflect through the images, while not compromising who they are. Fun and romantic candids were the perfect blend for their portraits. To start off their day, I met up with Amanda and Ryan at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Amanda and Ryan had an emotional first look followed by some portraits around the conservatory which absolutely melted my heart. This Chicago wedding venue is one of those venues that do all the talking, which makes it that much more effortless and beautiful.
In the midst of all the greenery, Amanda and Ryan had a sweet ceremony in front of a small group of friends and family. Tears were shed, laughs were made and it was a true representation of who Amanda and Ryan are as a couple.
The Wedding After Party at Lou Malnati’s
Once the ceremony was over, I joined Amanda, Ryan, and their guests at Lou Malnati’s. For those of you who don’t know, Lou Malnati’s is one of Chicago’s best deep-dish pizza restaurants. I can attest to this! It was in this restaurant where we sat, talked, and really enjoyed the company of one another. We bonded over food, celebrating the love of Amanda and Ryan, and some celebratory shots. Not a bad way to end the night if you ask me.
Head over heels in love with Amanda and Ryan’s love story, and their wedding day, and forever grateful I was able to capture every tear, laugh, and smile for them to look back on.
