Salvage One Chicago Fall Wedding

Emily and Jay’s Salvage One Chicago Fall wedding was one that was filled with so much laughter, love, and a ton of champagne. Now if that doesn’t sound like a good time, I don’t know what does!

How They Met

Emily and Jay like to say they met “the old fashioned way”, aka at a bar in Wrigleyville called Old Crow. There is no definitive way to describe how the first interaction went down. However, Emily will say that it was her strategically placing herself near Jay that allowed the conversation to be initiated and the rest was history.

Salvage One Chicago Fall Wedding

Emily and her bridesmaids started off the day getting ready at Meraki Room. It was a time to spend with just the gals, getting glam and awaiting the rest of the day’s festivities. One thing you should know is that Jay really likes bowling. So naturally, he and his groomsmen got ready (and did a little bowling) at Timber Lanes, a bowling alley in Chicago.

It wasn’t long until we found ourselves headed to their Chicago wedding venue, Salvage One, for Emily to get dressed and get ready for her first look with Jay. Speaking of first looks, Emily and Jay’s was absolutely everything. A private moment between the two of them that was intimate, special and so filled with love. Then, we took some time to take some solo portraits of the soon-to-be newlyweds and then brought along their wedding party for some photos.

Ceremony & Reception

As for their ceremony and reception, it was as beautiful as you could imagine. It was important to Emily and Jay that their wedding day embody these three words: eclectic, cozy, and fun. Boy, was it all that AND a bag of chips. In the beautiful ceremony space with eclectic touches, Emily and Jay exchanged vows. It was a beautiful moment and there was barely a dry eye in the room🥹

For their reception, it was easy to let the venue do a lot of the talking. In a beautiful and open reception space, Emily and Jay made their debut as husband and wife. Sweet moments of eating their first bite of cake together, first dance moments underneath twinkling lights, and a dance floor that left guests laughing for hours were just some of the key highlight points of this night. While I wish I could go on and on about how absolutely stunning everything was, I think I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking.
