While every couple brings me so much joy, something about witnessing the start of it all has me all teary-eyed. A surprise proposal: a moment that is so nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time. This Art Institute of Chicago Surprise Proposal with Gina and Jacob reminds me that love, no matter where you are in the world, should be celebrated.
The Art Institute of Chicago is actually one of my favorite photo locations fun fact. There is so much beauty and history tucked away amongst the four walls of this museum. This isn’t the first time I have shot an engagement here at The Art Institute of Chicago and it surely won’t be my last. You can see some more beautiful photos at this museum here!
Gina & Jacob’s Art Institute of Chicago Surprise Proposal
As I’ve mentioned before, I am no stranger when it comes to surprise proposals. I have to pull out mega-stealth mode and become completely invisible most times in order to capture the moment. Something that I have gotten very good at over the years, might I say. One of the hardest parts about surprise proposals is well… the surprise part. Many struggle with their partner knowing “too much about them” essentially giving away any guess or changes in behavior that occur when you’re planning a surprise proposal. However, in this case, Jacob was majorly successful.
Inside the Art Institute of Chicago a grand spiral staircase that will take your breath away. Naturally, the stunning structure proved to be the perfect place for Jacob to make his move. It was here that he got down on one knee and popped the question. Gina, overwhelmed with tears and emotions gladly said yes and I made my sneaky entrance. It was perfect and their Chicago surprise proposal was a major success in my book! We were able to wander throughout The Art Institute of Chicago, admiring the pieces of art on the wall and on Gina’s finger. While it was all romantic and fun, it didn’t just stop there.
Jacob yet again was able to pull off another surprise with a post-proposal party. All of Gina’s friends and family were there to celebrate their engagement and by the look on her face, Gina was very surprised. It’s beautiful getting to see dear friends of mine take the step forward towards their forever. It’s even more special that we get to do it together! Congratulations Gina + Jacob!
