When Frankie reached out to me to capture this beautiful moment between him and his now fiancé, Nichelle, I was ready to make sure everything happened just as we envisioned. Their Chicago surprise proposal at Garfield Park Conservatory was intimate, natural, and embodies everything that Frankie and Nichelle’s relationship is.
Frankie & Nichelle’s Surprise Proposal at Garfield Park Conservatory
It was late March on a beautiful day here in Chicago. A few weeks prior, Frankie had inquired with me to capture this special moment of him popping the question to the love of his life, Nichelle. Together, these two lovebirds share two beautiful children who would be in on this little secret plan. From their communication to their parenting, Frankie has described their connection as perfect. He has said “She’s shown me a part of life I didn’t know existed” which absolutely melted my heart. Hearing all of this, we knew that this Chicago surprise proposal had to be everything we imagined.
Next, we made our way to Garfield Park Conservatory where the plan began to unfold. It was here that Frankie dropped to one knee and asked the LOHL to marry him. Of course, in the ultimate Chicago surprise proposal, Nichelle excitedly said “Yes”. Following this life-changing moment, out popped their two kids who were there to help celebrate the joyous occasion. Garfield Park Conservatory is one of Chicago’s most unique locations, so using this for some post-proposal engagement photos was an absolute must. The greenery that surrounded us was the perfect addition and conclusion to a perfect Chicago surprise proposal.
